Gothic Revival in the Decorative Arts
The Gothic Revival did not solely affect architecture and literature. Elements of Gothic design were apparent in English furniture dates back to the mid-eighteenth century. This design influence was evident in chair backs and decorative patterns on various forms of furniture between 1740 and 1762.
